The weather is finally cooling down and we can pull out our sweaters and jeans. Take some time to catch up with some friends or relax with a good book and warm up with a mug of your favorite drink at a local coffee shop. Just a few minutes away from Monarch Medical Center are several coffee shops in Southwest Houston to unwind and get your caffeine fix.
CoCo is a Houston original and one of the nine locations just happens to be right around the corner in Rice Village. The great thing about CoCo is that it isn’t just coffee. Of course, the coffee is amazing and there are signature drinks like the cococcino made with homemade gelato.
But in addition to liquid pleasures, you can enjoy a panini, soup, or salad. The crêpes and waffles are amazing and if you’d like, you can create your own. A waffle stuffed with Oreo cookies and marshmallows and topped with whipped cream? Yes, please!
Three lifelong friends decided they wanted to open a coffee shop with really good coffee, so they did. They swear that coffee tastes better when it’s served in a glass, so that’s what they do! If you love fancy latte foam art, you’ll get that too. They also roast their own coffee beans to guarantee freshness. Al Vetro isn’t fancy or frilly, but you should definitely give it a try.
Fellini Caffè is as close as you can get to Italy without actually getting on an airplane. Whether you prefer outdoor seating, an intimate table for two or hanging out at the espresso bar, everyone feels welcome at Fellini.
They proudly serve Lavazza coffee, fresh pastries, and homemade gelato in tons of flavors. Breakfast platters with eggs, fruit, and croissants are available until 3:00 pm daily. Don’t worry, they make Instagram-worthy latte foam art too.
Of course, residents are always welcome to take advantage of our complimentary coffee bar and all of our other luxury amenities, but sometimes you just want to get out and experience the things Houston has to offer.
